SPATIAL ABSTRACTIONS-HOW TO CREATE THEM!

I call many of my artworks, "Spatial Abstractions."
What is abstracted are the  characteristics and qualities of
objects, colors, transparency, distance and space.
I do not usually use any literal content such as trees, dogs,
faces, figures, and flowers etc,
To make art without literal content, I follow  certain
procedures to create the architecture and stability of a
composition and the conscious distribution of color, shadows,
texture and visual effects.
The organization of balance, movements and colors results in
a feeling of completion and satisfaction.
I will show you, in this book, how to make your own
individual expressions of Spatial Abstraction.
If you want to get more personally involved,
see
: Internet Art Lessons and I will teach you how to create
Spatial Abstractions over the internet.
SPATIAL ABSTRACTION COLORING BOOK

This book is also partially done and needs to be completed.
Black lines describe shapes and patterns that need to be
worked out by making color decisions to complete the artwork.
I show you how to add additional lines to create and compose
the artwork.  The book provides  in-action beginning lessons
about how to create and compose Spatial Abstraction art
..  I
suggest that you make copies of the pages to color on so you
can try different color solutions to make each linear design
move toward a sense of completion. There is nothing like this
book on the art-student learning market.  This art book is for
everyone, all ages.  If you are interested in doing art "being an
artist," or giving your children something to do that they will
enjoy, order this book.  See:
Spatial Abstractions Directory
Mandela Coloring Book

This  book has black-line drawings of symmetrical patterns.
A consistent degree of repetition is needed to develop the
images.  This repetition and harmonious balance of the
designs is relaxing, and enjoyable.
Symmetry has a very deep significance to all organic life
and form.
Think of all the plants and animals that develop as
symmetrical  bodies.  In a way, by experiencing the
universal aspect of symmetry, perhaps some previously
hidden sense of contact with the essence of life can be
experienced, but I offer no guarantees, just an invitation.

LOSER IN & LOSER OUT

This book is about education. I examine the factors involved
in the criteria for a student's success or failure in the
education establishment.  A good student may have bad
parents or bad friends, and those circumstances  and many
others will undermine his/her ability to accomplish and
achieve in his school years.
There are many factors involved and each is discussed and
given a point score to be summed up as a predictor of your
child's or student's ability to do well or fail.
This book is timely - teachers and parents can examine and
understand the factors that  predict the future path of the
student, based on the criteria in this book.
TEACHING IN THE INNER-CITY

I started working as a substitute teacher way back in 1969
when I was directing the Center of Consciousness in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Now, in 2004, long after I returned from my three years of
teaching English in South Korea, I continue to work,
subbing everyday during the school year in the inner-city
districts of Compton, Santa Ana, and others.
The substitute teacher has a special view of a school
system, if they are willing to sub every grade level and all
the subjects as I have.  Like a chiropractor, I go up and
down the spine of the school system from kindergarten to
grade twelve.
What I  experience and see in these inner-city districts
needs to go into a book that is partially written.
Ten by Ten Math

Ten by Ten Math is a testing and verification manual for
parents and teachers to exactly pin-point what a student
knows and understands about the basic four math functions.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are the
essential foundation of all math ability and must be learned
dead-on, 100% if a student is going to do well in
subsequent math classes.
Using these practice sheets you will be able to know where
your student or child is stuck and needs help.  Once this is
understood, teachers and most parents can help a child
overcome his/her problem.
You will make copies of the practice sheet and use them
until all ten problems on a sheet can be done correctly
before going on to the next practice level.
THE CENTER OF CONSCIOUSNESS AND THE
ENLIGHTMENT MACHINE

The  Center of Consciousness  was the organization I
created with my friend Leah (Seja) Stevenson when we
journeyed to Minneapolis Minnesota, my home town, in my
VW camper after I received my Master of Arts degree in Fine
Art from the University of California, Berkeley, about 1967.
See:
Center of Consciousness.  It was where I began my
creative efforts to use overhead and slide projector images
combined with sound to explore the innovative artform of
Light-Sound.
The "Enlightenment Machine" was the light-sound artform I
called SPACE, Super Psychic or Psychedelic Activation of
Cosmic Energy.
This unique artform evolved in
Visions Inner Space Artform
and Inner Vision Therapy.
 See:Inner Vision Therapy.
Constant practice with this medium opened my inner vision
to connect with the totality of Infinite Life and merge with the
total creativity of the universe as a living being.  The
overwhelming impact of these experiences continues to
permeate my life as I live in this embracing sense of
existence.
GOD SPEAKS ON LASQUETI ISLAND

Laqueti Island, off the western coast of British Columbia is
beautiful, picturesque, peaceful; yet I suffered there.
The Center of Consciousness was in full swing in 1968 with
a full schedule of classes and courses that ran from yoga to
dance to natural Macrobiotic cooking.  Every weekend we
performed our unique light-sound experience called SPACE,
Super Psychic or Psychedelic Activation of Cosmic Energy.
Then Leah Stevenson went to visit her parents in Sausalito,
California and just disappeared, or seemed to disappear.
She didn't call or return and when I called her parents, they
said she went to visit an old girl friend living on an island
near Vancouver Canada.
Leah and I had been together for maybe three years and
had many adventures together.  We took over the job of
managing the large apartment house and were given, as
part of our compensation, the free use of two adjoining
stores where we opened the first Center of Consciousness.
I was filled with panic and fear as I barreled across the
country to eventually find her on the fog-shrouded island of
Lasqueti, a fully converted and transformed member of a
religious community under the control of a strange person
named Ted Sideras.
People walked around as if in a trance, attempting to talk
with God.  It was called "asking," prayer, and that is what we
did, day and night.  It's quite a story, yet to be written, yet to
be told.
BELIEVING MAKES YOU CRAZY

This book has been in progress for about fifteen years.  It is
an exploration of the concept of belief; what it means and
how it is used.  The basic premise is that a belief is formed
by a combination of an  idea and a feeling.  The idea part is
usually a true or false choice that can be clearly stated
verbally. See:
Belief Diagram.
The feeling part is the level or degree of emotional conviction
that the idea part is true or false.  The word "faith" refers to
the feeling of conviction part of a belief.  This is different from
the same word "Faith" which means the name of your
religion.  The words "faith" and belief are often mixed up and
confused by many, in my opinion.
