| PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION Bringing the educational process to life is important to me, and I delight in seeing the creative spark come to light within each student. I try to connect with the real person inside the outer mask that many students construct; discover who they are, their ideas and concerns, and show a personal interest and connection that establishes a bond of trust and commitment, and provides a basis for students to express themselves and engage in the learning process. Respecting the significant role that a teacher plays in a student's life, I try to present clear objectives, well organized lesson plans, and achievable goals using up-to-date materials. I also encourage students to visit bookstores, get a public library card, and use the computer to access the wealth of information available on the internet. Sincerely, Larry Epston |
