The needle was pushed, through the eye of a fish, Who ended her life In a red chafing dish. ........ 6. HEY YOU PEOPLE Hey you people, you better be quiet, Don’t yell and scream or start a riot. SILENCE SPEAKS Etched sharp against Breath of black night, The moon! Silent full force, In perfect roundness, Its existence speaks Silently To all who listen ............ 12. HOSPITAL White busy footsteps Polished with dry whispers Call me to small rooms Where shiny, chrome- plated Personalities Listen to living messages Deciphered from my heart-beat. ............ 13. BRIEF INTERLUDE Gray misty clouds Seep under my eyelids, Softly tumbling inward, Cascading over, Drifting downward, Falling into the Empty dark cavern, .......... 14. COME AND GONE Look there! Raindrops are split by White Flashing Streaks Across the Bright yellow-green Cold wet Grass. ............. 15. DARK AND COLD Dark and cold, Deep and flowing, The river spreads out, Unknown before me. Churning and frothing, Brimming with violence. ............. 16. ECHOES OF VICTORIA I will not obey your Harsh commands To live my life as you prefer. WHAT IS THE FORCE What is the force That drives the artist's hand? Does it lay within the fingers Trained to be so quick And all perceiving? Or could it be A molecular thing, ................. |
