CHILDREN'S STORIES FROM THE REAL WORLD
	MARU HAS NO HANDS Visual Maru has no hands.  Her hands were blown off by a terrorist bomb that blew up in the street outside her house. Visual Her parents were hurt too. The glass from the windows flew into her father’s eyes, so he cannot see anymore. Visual Her mother had her legs blown off below her knees, but she can still sort-of walk, but it is hard and painful. Visual Her mother used to work in an office downtown, but there is no more downtown, and she couldn’t walk to work anyway. Visual The person who blew  up the bomb, was splattered over the front off the house.  Her head rolled in the front door. She had long black hair like Maru‘s, but she couldn’t tell if the girl had been pretty. Visual Because Maru has no hands, and her father has no eyes, and her mother has no legs, they cannot work to earn money. Visual They have no money for food, so they are getting very hungry.
