SPATIAL ABSTRACTION
              SPATIAL ABSTRACTION

Spatial Abstraction is  an approach to making artworks  using the
qualities of shape, color, design and all the many elements of art
while being free of the need to represent man-made things,
persons, animals, scenes, landscapes, seascapes and all the
other type of representation.
Spatial Abstraction is a form of abstraction, but  abstracts and
utilizes the qualities of light on objects, and the resultant effects
of light that produces color, shape, shadow, transparency,
reflections and all other effects resulting from the interaction of
light and material. These art elements are used directly to
produce artworks that have rhythm, illusions of depth, complex
webs of spaces and multiple points of view, etc.
There are an infinity of possible artworks that can be made and
enjoyed that are free of literal content.  It is not necessary to
draw landscapes, flowers, horses and baby faces to make a
successful, interesting and enjoyable artwork. As a person
continues to make artwork through the years many changes
usually occur.  See:
Spatial Abstraction Directory.
