VISION PRINTS
		VISION PRINTS & THE TEN REALIZATIONS Vision Prints are Cibachrome color enlargements made from slides. The slides were made by photographing artworks that were created by combining various paints, dyes, and other art materials. The original artworks no longer exist because some of the materials used to make them are perishable and impermanent. Like life itself. Vision Prints are both fine artworks and spiritual icons. A spiritual icon is an image held sacred because it provides a visual reference to ideas or principles about the structure, existence, or meaning of Reality or Ultimate Truth. Throughout human history, a few individuals have experienced a deeper vision about our existence and reality and indicate that Life In Itself and As Itself is quite different from what we conventionally "believe" it is. They have attempted to describe and share their experiences using verbal, written, and symbolic methods to bridge the space between their inner realizations and the rest of us. Vision Prints express an understanding of existence and reality obtained through mystical experience which may be obtained through art practice, by "grace," i.e., spontaneously random occurrence, through meditational perception, or by the training available in a few difficult to locate enlightenment schools. The imagery in Vision Prints indicates what is happening right now in this very moment. The Infinite Vastness of Existing Life that is now and always occurring can be sensed in the organic swirling forms and vibrational dimensions of color radiation. Endless being, becoming, existing and merging again into the Universal Ocean of Energy can be sensed in this iconic art form. The drama of changing and transforming patterns that compose our multi dimensional reality are precisely expressed in the liquid globular fluid auroras of brilliant color and the exact perfection of exquisite randomness. In this moment of Life, myriad cascades of beings, each a center of awareness and consciousness, each like a bubble of light and life energy flow and flood in expanding waves from the womb of Existence. The Perfection of our Real Life is dramatized in this art, and also exists simultaneously within us at this very moment. This Perfection is not the conceptual correctness of a mechanically drawn circle or the numerical abstraction of a mathematical formula, but the inevitable intrinsic harmony seen in rainbows, in the cream swirling in coffee, the natural organic  patterns on the tips of your fingers, sand dunes, and the way leaves grow on branches, and the way cells, planets and galaxies all float so perfectly within this vast infinite ocean of potent fully alive and aware BEINGNESS. Floating suspended liquids form symmetrical globes, (globules), orbs, and bubbles, perfect spheres that balance and harmonize all the internal forces within them. With liquid orbs, globules, radiant color and bubbles, Vision Prints imply all the lives and energies that mutually interact, distort under interactive forces, and seek the equilibrium of perfect spherical harmony. Within the imagery of Vision Prints is indicated the endless change and transformation of Yin and Yang, and also the unique moment of our individual lives. The relationship between our individual life and the totality of life can be compared to a drop of water that falls from a cloud into the ocean. When the drop separates and falls, its (your) individual  lifetime can be measured as the height of its decent, and at the instant it touches the ocean, its individuality  ends, and its Universal Life, merged and integrated with the Whole Ocean continues again. Just as gravity is an intrinsic aspect of mass or substance, awareness is an intrinsic aspect of the individualized being. This awareness is sometimes called self-consciousness, ego, or ego-consciousness. It is the experience of apparently existing as a separate individual entity, distinct from all other manifest forms. This self-awareness is sometimes called a Bubble of Consciousness."   When this "bubble" grows and expands it will sometimes merge with the Greater Life Consciousness and the boundary of apparent separation will vanish. The experience of growing expanding awareness and the moments of touching and dissolving into the Ocean of Life can be called Enlightenment or Self-Realization. This exhibition of Vision Prints (presented at the Los Angeles Photography Center) is called the Ten Realizations. It may initially seem   peculiar that these great understandings or Truths all connected to flowing swirls of color and organic shapes, but Vision Prints point to what is spontaneous, free, and perfect within itself, and what is fully totally alive and exquisitely present. They portray only WHAT IS, What Exists in Itself in this very life, and as we experience these very qualities within ourselves, as our actual essential identity, many more than The Ten Realizations will become our own. Sixth Realization: BEING CREATIVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF BEING. Seventh Realization: LOVE IS THE PERFECTION OF EVERYTHING BEING EXPRESSED HERE AND NOW. Eighth Realization: I AM EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS EXPRESSING ITSELF AS ME. Ninth Realization: THERE IS NO OTHER. Tenth Realization: PERFECTION IS WHAT IS: EXACTLY AS IT IS.
